Welcome to My AICE Media Studies Blog!

The importance of studying media studies is to further understand the importance of the concept of the media. To understand both the consumer and producer part of it. To be able to work with new technologies and learn key communication theories. Personally, Social media is my favorite media product because I get to interact with people all over the world, including my friends and family. I also get to post content people can relate to or just simply have an interest in. As well as view other people's content that I am interested in. I feel that social media is engaging to others in my age group because we get to view and react to content all over the world. The most interesting thing about media studies personally is how broad the field is. before starting this class I thought it would just be about the understanding of movies but actually, it's more than that. Another interesting thing about media studies is how the course can be both hands-on and digital. One day you might be in a movie as a character the next day you might be the director or the editor. lastly, another thing I find interesting about media studies is learning the concept of all types of media and being able to understand it on the consumer and producer level.
On my blog, I will be documenting specifically an opening film. I would like to document an opening film to a movie with the genre being either somewhere between comedy, mystery, or horror. This product will be for my peers taking this course with me. I will need to learn how to get shots from different angles, and how to edit video and sound to complete my product. My film will be ready to be released in late 2022 or early 2023.
I will need to be able to have creative thinking, able to work on the latest editing software, to be able to create and produce a storyline, and lastly communication skills.
