Introduction to Camerawork Warm-Up Exercise 1

Camerawork is the art, and process of cinematography, filmmaking, and photography. Camera work is important because it implies how the camera work, moves, and is positioned for a specific effect. Now cinematography is the art and craft of making moving pictures by capturing a storyline visually with a camera and light. cinematographers are the directors of photography. Bradford Young is a cinematographer best known for 'When They See Us' and  'A Star Wars Story and Arrival'.

Camera shots sizes and camera angles are both key concepts of camerawork. A camera shot size is how much of the subject or setting is shown in the frame whether it's a video, picture, or animation. While a camera angle is a specific location where the camera is positioned in the film to take a shot. I was introduced to this concept with the help of reference videos. The most interesting thing was learning the difference between every angle and shot size and the connection between all of them. Learning this concept was very captivating, fulfilling, and somewhat pressing.

Post production: day 2

The last day! Today went over everything and added sound, all the credits, titles,  and we also created our logo for our production company. Today everything all the hard editing done and we got our first draft !

introduction to storyboarding camera composition

Camera composition is how objects or subjects are arranged in the frame. The position of the visual elements in a frame such as the objects or subjects in relation. Composition can also make an image more pleasing to the eye and keep the viewers focus on framed object(s). Rule of thirds and Leding lines are both examples of camera composition. Rule of thirds is a guideline that breaks an image into nine Pieces. Leading lines are visual elements that the photographer positioned that draw attention to the viewer's eye. The concept of this exercise was for students to study and analyze the 4 main concepts of camerawork, shot size, camera angles, camera framing and camera composition. Students were able to plan a story board frame, understand the ways in which media language works with viewpoints. Also, how the audiences respond to interpret media language. Completing this exercise was very entrancing.

Today all we needed was the main character and the antagonist to shoot. In all today only took about an hour to film because everyone knew their parts and knew what to do.
